Beyond cancer dependency maps: the PRECISE vision

Dr Sumana Sharma is one of the founding partners of a major new pan-European initiative that aims to transform how scientists identify and target cancer's weaknesses, moving beyond simply mapping cancer vulnerabilities towards predicting them before they are experimentally tested.

New personalised therapy targets chronic blood cancer

A new form of CAR T cell therapy has been designed to find and destroy the cancer-driving cells responsible for a group of blood cancers known as myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), while leaving healthy blood cells unharmed, according to a new study led by UCL and University of Oxford researchers.
