Diversity and Inclusion at the MRC WIMM
Diversity in the workplace comes in many shapes and forms: diversity in background and identity, in ways of thinking, ambitions, and life experiences. These factors are all essential to driving innovation, creativity and success, in any organisation.
The MRC WIMM is deeply committed to supporting and celebrating this diversity by promoting an inclusive environment and fostering a culture of fairness. By developing a culture in which all are encouraged and guided to achieve their potential, we believe that both science and society benefit.
The institute's People, Culture and Inclusion Committee works to ensure a supportive environment by fostering a culture of fairness and diversity.
In recognition of work to introduce practices to address gender equality, the Radcliffe Department of Medicine, to which the MRC WIMM is affiliated, was awarded a Silver Athena Swan Award in 2016 and 2019.
