The Genome Engineering & Transgenics Facility Team can help establish genetically modified mice or cell lines using a variety of techniques. We will discuss alternative strategies, generate reagents and, if required, use these to modify mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells. We can also inject mRNA, DNA, Cas9 protein or ES cells into early embryos and transfer these embryos into recipient mice. We have recently adopted electroporation and AAV delivery to expedite projects to further modify GA mouse lines. In addition, we can “archive” genetically modified mice as embryos frozen in liquid nitrogen and rederive mouse strains from frozen stocks.
