By understanding normal tissue homeostasis, we can better elucidate the distinct processes that lead to malignancy. My interests lie in characterizing these clonal dynamics (inc. evolution) at a single-cell level and how they relate to aging, especially in the paternal germline.
I earned a BA from Washington University in St. Louis and trained with Prof. Todd Druley at the Washington University School of Medicine. While there, I helped develop tests that allowed for the detection of rare pre-leukemic and pre-relapse subclonal mutations.
I am reading for a PhD at the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine with the supervision of Profs. Anne Goriely & Andrew Wilkie.
I hold the Oxford-Sir David Weatherall Scholarship and am grateful to Green Templeton College & the MRC WIMM for this support.
