Biography
Kaima Tsukada is a postdoctoral researcher at the Blackford Group in the Department of Oncology, based at the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine. He is also a Japan Society for Promotion of Sciences (JSPS) postdoctoral research fellow.
He studied mechanical engineering at the National Institute of Technology in Japan for his BEng until 2016. During his MEng and PhD, he studied nuclear engineering and radiation biology under the supervision of Prof Yoshihisa Matsumoto at the School of Environment and Society in the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan. After obtaining his PhD, he joined the Blackford Group as a postdoctoral researcher in June 2021. He was awarded Research Fellowships from the Japan Society for Promotion of Sciences between 2020-2022 and 2022-2024.
