Staff Networks
As a research institute at the University of Oxford, we benefit from a range of networks, both formal and informal, which facilitate connections across the University, fostering collaborations, community and professional development. Below we have highlighted some of the existing networks, open to staff at the MRC WIMM.
Diversity, Community and Inclusion Networks
- Disabled Staff Network
- For staff with a disability or long-term health condition. The Network aims to work to improve the experience of disabled staff, enable views of disabled people to inform policy and decision making, and to provide peer support.
- BME Staff Network
- For staff who identify as BME. The network aimt to help the University to identify areas where BME staff representation can be increased, and to offer support to enable professional success among BME staff at all levels.
- LGBT+ Staff Network
- An inclusive LGBT+ network that works collaboratively with the Disabled Staff and BME Staff networks.
- LGBT+ Allies Network
- Allies that have attended the LGBT+ Allies Workshop.
- Neurodiversity at Oxford
- Celebrating, connecting and empowering Oxford University's neurodiverse community through talks, social events, mentoring and training.
- Faith Societies, Groups and Centres
- Oxford University consists of a diverse group of staff and students from varied religious or non-religious backgrounds. Part of our duty to promote equality and value diversity is to provide an inclusive environment in which staff and students will thrive.

Professional Networks
- RDM Mentoring Scheme
- A mentoring scheme for all members of the Radcliffe Department of Medicine. The aim of the scheme is to assist staff (academic, research, professional support) and postgraduate students to achieve personal and professional growth through a mentoring relationship that provides support as they progress and develop within the University. Around 24% of RDM staff are taking part in the scheme.
