The American Society of Hematology (ASH) and the European Hematology Association (EHA) have announced the names of 20 early-career hematologists who will participate in the joint 2017 Translational Research Training in Hematology (TRTH) program. These include two researchers from the MRC WIMM: Dr Lynn Quek and Dr Alice Giustacchini, both in the MRC Molecular Haematology Unit.

Work Experience Programme
The MRC WIMM runs a two-week work experience programme for Year 12 state school students in Oxfordshire, who are interested in biological and medical research.

At the MRC WIMM, MRC TIDU and MRC MHU, we value public engagement. We believe that sharing our science and working with the wider community improves the quality of scientific research.
Sample Tracking (Open Specimen)
Open Specimen is a biobanking Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). We use it at the WIMM to store information and location data for both HTA- and non-HTA-relevant specimens.
