Join the WIMM Postdoc Association on the 8th of June (Friday) at 13:00 at the WIMM Seminar room to learn from Dr Philip Webber*, a patent attorney from Dehns • What is Intellectual property and why it matters • What can be patented, whether it’s a lab method, drug target, or even an algorithm? • How to protect your ideas when publishing and attending scientific meetings (“publish or patent dilemma”) After the event you will also have the opportunity to meet members of the University who hold a patent and are happy to share their experiences; as well as a representative from Oxford University Innovation. This event is open to all the members of University.

CANCELLED - MRC WIMM Day 2020

After careful consideration and in light of advice received it is with much regret that we have decided to cancel WIMM Day this year. As many of you know the WIMM Annual Science Awayday is always a great opportunity to catch up on all the excellent science that is in the WIMM, to network and meet the Scientific Advisory Board so this was not an easy decision to make. However in the light of recent Government advice on Covid 19 we do not want to unnecessarily expose people who attend and to avoid the risk of spreading the virus.
