The fellowship is for 4 years and James will be working with Prof. Mike Dustin at the Kennedy Institute but also partly at the ETH Zurich. He will be studying the role of G protein-coupled receptors in the regulation of T-cell activation using a number of imaging and microfluidic techniques.

James said, "I'm extremely excited to be going to work with such outstanding labs on a topic that has fascinated me for a long time, and feel very privileged to have been given the opportunity to do so. I was only successful in my application thanks to the wonderful environment at the WIMM and the help of so many in the institute, particularly my supervisor Simon Davis and those in his lab."
