Abstract IA07: Targeting micrometastasis for the treatment of ovarian cancer
Ahmed AA.
Abstract Unlike many other solid tumors, high-grade serous ovarian cancer seldom spreads outside the abdominal cavity. The most common cause of death is malnutrition secondary to intestinal obstruction because of abdominal metastasis. Understanding the key mechanisms involved in driving abdominal metastases is important for the development of novel strategies to prevent metastasis. In this talk, I will present our recent work on preventing ovarian cancer metastasis by targeting Salt Inducible Kinase 2 (SIK2). Citation Format: Ahmed Ashour Ahmed.
