Oxford Biomedical Data Science Training Programme
The Oxford Biomedical Data Science Training Programme delivers training in the skills and methods required for the analysis and interpretation of large-scale biomedical datasets, particularly genomic and functional genomic data.
Public Engagement
We are committed to engaging patients, their families and the wider public with our research on the immune system and infectious diseases. We foster a culture of public engagement within our Unit, and our researchers are encouraged to get involved in a variety of initiatives.
About Us
At the MRC MHU we aim to understand how stem cells produce mature blood cells in a healthy context, and how this process is perturbed in common blood disorders. Our ultimate goal is to improve the prognosis of patients with inherited and acquired blood diseases.

Tools
We aim to share our outputs with the scientific community and have developed a range of open source tools.
Training
The MRC WIMM Centre for Computational Biology offers training courses in basic data science skills and computational biology methods.
About Us
We use computational biology – from bioinformatics and mathematical modelling through to data visualisation and artificial intelligence – to understand complex biological systems and treat human disease.
Graduate Student Association
The MRC WIMM Graduate Students Association (WGSA) is a student-run initiative bringing together the graduate student community within the MRC WIMM. We aim to provide social activities and peer support for students at any stage. We further aim to provide a platform for students to present their work and broaden their academic horizons.
Training
The Facility team offers training to every user intending to have access to the Facility. Training can be general and aimed at developing user capabilities so independent use becomes possible, or can be targeted to a specific application. Training is always free and is mandatory before unsupervised system usage is allowed.
Funding
The Wolfson Imaging Centre - Oxford was established in late 2012 with funding from the Wolfson Foundation (Grant 18272).
