Using your account
We offer detailed guidance on using the CCB cluster, which enables you to get up-to-speed on using your account as quickly as possible and to avoid common gotchas. It is available in three formats:
- Browsable web help pages
- Unix manual pages, starting at
- In RDP logins via Applications > Documentation
We additionally provide a curated collection of self-study videos under the University's LinkedIn Learning subscription, which you can access at https://www.linkedin.com/learning/collections/6894987611124154368?u=76177458 using your SSO login. We recommend completing the course "Learning Linux Command Line" if you are new to Linux. The remainder of the courses are provided so that you can develop additional skills if you should need them.
You can find a set of answers to commonly asked questions here.
If you can't find the information you need, you can email us for support via firstname.lastname@example.org. For the fastest response, we recommend that you send a single question or request per email, and always send new requests as new emails and not as replies to old ones.
We make best efforts to answer help requests promptly, but we do not have formal response times. In fairness to supporting all users equally, we reserve the right to decline requests which would incur an unreasonable amount of effort on our part.
