The Wolfson Imaging Centre is an open access light microscopy core facility. Our facility includes a wide range of state-of-the-art widefield and confocal light microscopes suitable for imaging a variety of specimens.

The Wolfson Imaging Facility houses a variety of state-of-the art widefield and confocal microscopes, accessible to both internal and external users. Uniquely, the Facility houses the only commercial STED microscope open to users at the University of Oxford, offering advanced, super-resolution imaging solutions for cutting-edge research projects.
The Facility staff provides training to allow independent use of the equipment, but is also available for advice regarding experiment design, data acquisition and analysis.
We actively collaborate and share resources with the Micron Advanced Bioimaging Unit at the Department of Biochemistry and the Sir William Dunn School for Pathology. The Facility staff further interacts regularly with other similar facilities at the CRUK/MRC Oxford Institute for Radiation Oncology, the Kennedy Institute, the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics and more.
