Julie Stevens

BSc (Hons), PhD

  • Administrator for the Oxford Centre for Haematology and BRC Haematology and Stem Cells Theme

My responsibilities include managing the activities of the NIHR-funded Biomedical Research Centre Haematology Theme which is led by Professors Paresh Vyas and Doug Higgs.

The Oxford Centre for Haematology is a new initiative bringing together clinicians and researchers to improve the understanding and treatment of blood diseases and disorders.

A biochemist by training, I started in the University in 2001 as a research scientist in the Department of Biochemistry. I moved to a research management role in the Oxford e-Research Centre and am now based in the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, where I work with colleagues in the Hospitals and across the University, as well as collaborators, funders and industry partners outside of the University.
