As of Wednesday 27th September 2023, the MRC Human Immunology Unit has changed its name to the MRC Translational Immune Discovery Unit to reflect the unit’s current research focus on understanding the molecular pathways in human immune-mediated diseases.
Speaking about the Unit, Professor Alison Simmons, Director of the MRC TIDU, said:
“Here at the MRC Translational Immune Discovery Unit, we pioneer the future in immune system exploration to uncover the mechanisms of immune-mediated diseases. We innovate our discoveries to create new treatments for patients".
