This week the Kusumbe Group: Tissue and Tumor Microenvironments based in the MRC Human Immunology Unit were awarded the Gold award by the University's Sustainability Projects Manager Charlotte Houghton in 'recognition of exemplary actions undertaken to improve the sustainability practices as part of the laboratory efficiency assessment framework (LEAF)'.

Originally developed by University College London, LEAF is an independent standard for laboratories to embed sustainability. More than 70 institutions globally are already taking part in the framework which allows laboraties to estimate the environmental impact of the changes they implement.

Congratulations to all involved!
