Collaboration Within Oxford And Beyond
The concentration of molecular sciences in the Clinical School onto this site has encouraged interactions with the basic science departments in the University. This is fostered by membership of the Division of Medical Sciences, which spans the Radcliffe Hospital and South Parks Road sites.
A measure of the success of the Institute is the number of similar Institutes that have sprung up all over the world. In Oxford, scientists from the Institute have played lead roles in establishing similar but complementary Institutes including the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, the Peter Medawar Building for Pathogen Research, the Wellcome Trust Centre for Cardiovascular Research, the Oxford Centre for Diabetes Endocrinology and Metabolism and the Centre for Clinical Vaccinology and Tropical Medicine.
