We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Research Assistant to join the new research group of Dr Tudor Fulga.  Funded by the Medical Research Council, the position is available for 2 years.

The Fulga group are interested in understanding the role of microRNAs in complex developmental transitions and in the pathogenesis of human diseases. The postholder will be responsible for carrying out independent or semi-independent research projects in the laboratory and will report directly to Dr Fulga. The position will provide a unique opportunity to work in a fast developing field and to acquire the skills necessary to become an independent researcher and/or manage a laboratory.

Candidates will hold a degree in a biomedical related area and have previous experience in molecular biology and cell biology techniques. The ability to work as a team member and independently together with excellent organisation and communication skills are essential to the post. Most importantly, the postholder will have a high level of commitment to work and a true passion for furthering scientific research.
