We are seeking an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the research group of Professor Terence Rabbitts. The post is available fixed-term for 3 years.

The research themes of the group are aimed at how genomic changes at the early stages of cancer can be recapitulated in preclinical models and the use of these models for studying transcriptomes by NGS and for experimental anti-cancer therapeutics. You will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the laboratory and will work on the molecular biology of leukaemia and sarcoma development in conjunction with other group members, while also undertaking specific semi-independent research projects.

You will have a PhD/DPhil in biological sciences and previous research and laboratory management experience. Considerable experience in molecular biology, genetic engineering and ES cell tissue culture are essential, as well as organisational and problem-solving skills. Experience in molecular immunology is desirable.
